Set in a Renaissance mansion from the 16th century, Chateau Appony is quietly located in Oponice, 12 mi away from Nitra. Positive: Amazing location, surrounded by a beautiful park, helpful staff. Breakfast and dinner excellent, the chateau itself is very tastefully and expensively furnished. Bowling. Spa and a small gym.

Negative: Could work a bit on the details to match the overall genius loci of this place - change the withered flowers, visually check and wipe the tables spotless etc. Bathroom backsplash behind washbasin needs to be cleaned too 😉
